The Wild Upper Hudson Gorge

Adirondack whitewater rafting on the Hudson River Gorge is rated one of the top trips in the United States. Throughout your wet and wild rafting adventure you'll enjoy 16 miles of whitewater through the largest protected wilderness area in New York State.

SPRING: Big water, high adventure!

During the SPRING run off, mountain snows melt into the roaring Hudson River Gorge providing white water rafters with wild Class III, IV and V rapids. This river is well known for its unusually long continuous white water sections.  Enjoy the thrill of running famous rapids such as Cedar Ledges, Blue Ledges, The Narrows, Split Rock, Kettle Mountain, Harris Rapid and Bus Stop.

SUMMER: Warm weather, family fun!

Rafting in the SUMMER, you can enjoy warm weather and warm whitewater! Summer is a great time to experience this wild Class III river. The comforts of summer weather allows folks time to enjoy a swim and riverside lunch in between entertaining rapids. Controlled dam-released water provides plenty of whitewater throughout the full season. Summer on the river is the ideal time for families to experience this majestic Adirondack river. The perfect Family Adventure.

FALL: Spectacular scenery!

Rafting in the FALL, you are treated to the changing colors and the tranquility of nature. The weather and the water is still quite warm and you can beat the crowds. Fall rafting provides moderate class III whitewater, often with a little boost as the average river level tends to run a tad higher in Fall than in Summer.
