Why Raft With Us
Safety
Every guide is individually licensed through the New York State DEC Licensed Guide Program and certified in CPR and First Aid. Several also hold Emergency Outdoor Care or swiftwater rescue certifications, and three are EMTs. Every guest wears a Coast Guard-rated PFD, and we carry full liability insurance covering our rafts, buses, and property. In nearly 30 years guiding the Hudson Gorge, we've maintained an outstanding safety record.
Professionalism
Family-owned and operated since 1997, Adirondac Rafting Company has spent almost three decades on the Hudson Gorge — including four championships in the Hudson River Raft Guide Olympics. Our fleet includes Star, Maravia, and Sotar rafts sized to match water levels and group size, outfitted with the latest gear from NRS. We're proud members of ROOST (Lake Placid's regional tourism office), the Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce, and the Lake George tourism community.
